Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (BTEUP) — also known as UP Board of Technical Education / UPBTE — is the state authority responsible for regulating technical and vocational diploma education across Uttar Pradesh. Established in May 1958 as the State Board of Technical Education & Training, the board was renamed BTEUP in 1962, and works under the Department of Technical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh. It designs syllabi, affiliates polytechnic institutions, conducts examinations, and awards diplomas.

📌 Admission Process

  • Most admissions for diploma and polytechnic courses are through the UPJEE(P) / JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh) — the state-level polytechnic entrance test.

  • Candidates must register for JEECUP, participate in counselling, and choose colleges based on rank and availability.
