Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana

What is the purpose of the scheme–>
To compensate and compensate for the loss of wages to the working pregnant women and to ensure their proper rest, medical facilities and nutrition. In order to improve the health of pregnant women and lactating mothers and children, it is mandated to provide all necessary medical and financial facilities to all pregnant women by motivating them through cash incentives.
What is the benefit of the scheme ->
1st installment: Rs 1000 within 150 days of pregnancy
on registering
2nd installment Rs.2000, if the beneficiary gets at least one antenatal check-up after six months of pregnancy.
Third Installment: Rs.2000, when the birth of the child is registered. And the baby begins the first cycle of vaccines including BCG, OPV, DPT and Hepatitis B.
Eligibility for the scheme ->
Under this, pregnant women and lactating women of all classes are eligible at the time of birth of their first live babies.
Under the Prime Minister’s Motherhood Vandana Yojana, pregnant women of the following categories
Not applicable for women and lactating mothers
Will be
1. The Central or State Government or any Public Sector Undertaking
with regular employment.
2. Who are the recipients of similar benefits under any other scheme or law.
From where to apply in the scheme –>
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana is operated through Anganwadi centers. Women can go there and register for this scheme.
Registration for this scheme can also be done at health centers. Help is required from ASHA worker in this.
