The National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), located at Manesar, Gurugram (Haryana), is India’s premier neuroscience research institute, established in 1997 by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. Admission Process

NBRC offers PhD and Integrated PhD programs. Admissions are conducted through a national-level entrance examination, followed by interviews. Candidates with valid CSIR/UGC/DBT/JRF may receive direct interview calls as per institute rules.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Integrated PhD: Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering/Medicine
  • PhD: Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, or Medicine
  • Strong background in biology, neuroscience, physics, chemistry, mathematics, or computer science is preferred.
