The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has issued a new rule for people having more than 9 SIMs. According to the new rule, if a person has more than 9 SIMs, then it will be mandatory for him to get the SIM card verified afresh. If the verification is not done, the SIM card will be closed within 60 days. The new rule has come into effect from 7 December. The government has taken this step to prevent fraud cases.
Today people have more than one SIM card on the same ID. Many people do not even know how many SIMs have been taken on their ID. Here’s how to know how many SIM cards are active on your ID: Visit the official website of DoT at tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in.
Here in Enter Your Mobile Number type your mobile number and click on Request OTP written below it.
